I will never forget my first year as a working mom.
I didn’t know how to ask for what I needed.
I didn’t have relationships with other working mothers to learn from.
There was no roadmap, just a vague pressure to figure it out and not complain.
So, I turned to what many ambitious women do instead: I overcompensated.
I carried guilt for being a mom while trying desperately to prove that nothing about me had changed. I wanted to be the same person my team had always known, same visibility and in-person time, same responsiveness, same everything — as if motherhood were something I could keep neatly tucked off to the side.

A quick picture before rushing off to school and work—it’s the best we could do 😆
Flashback to 2015, I was spending more than 15 hours a week commuting to my dream job: Fashion & Luxury Marketing at Hearst Magazines. On paper, it was exactly what I wanted to be doing, but in reality, it was unsustainable and unfulfilling. Those hours on commuter trains meant late arrivals home, missed bedtimes with Holden too often to count, constant rushing, constant toggling. The worst was the video my nanny sent of Holden crawling for the first time. UGH. My heart aches.
Sad. Hard. Relatable. But THIS community is not for saying what did not work.
Too many spaces for working moms are rooted in shared struggles, frustration and commiserating over these experiences. While there is so much value in that kind of support and feeling seen, it does not always move you forward as an ambitious working mom.
So, I am here to shine light on the HOW. If you are craving something different: real-life solutions that can help you get to the top—strategies that reflect the complexity of ambition, leadership, and motherhood, and actually help you achieve success, then Corporate MomSense is for you.
Corporate MomSense is a new space for ambitious career moms where your professional dreams and motherhood can coexist, fuel each other, and shape the leader you are becoming. We break away from grievance and make a shift toward growth as a working mom, where confidence and empowerment are in no shortage.
Having my first baby at 26 and stepping into an ad agency leadership role by 30, I quickly learned what it truly takes to make motherhood and ambition integrate. The challenges were real. So were the lessons. I was fortunate to rise early in my career and gain experiences many only see much later: running a company, building virtual and hybrid cultures, supporting a holding company acquisition and transition, leading teams through change with my personal values of kindness and courage at the forefront.
At Corporate MomSense, we believe you can build a career you love, lead with impact, and raise a family—all without losing your sense of self. Whether you’ve made it to the C-suite, you are on a high-performing path, or you are launching something new—you belong here.
