There are days when an outfit is fine. And then there are days when it feels finished.
The difference?
Almost always… gold accessories.
This last year, my gold accessory on repeat has been the puffy heart necklace from Roxanne Assoulin. It’s become that piece I reach for without thinking, whether I’m heading into a client meeting in NYC or hopping on virtual call (because, above the fold is everything).
Why this one item works
It’s chunky but not loud
It has weight (physically and visually) — you feel it, in a good way
It tells a story - Roxanne’s whole ethos is about everyday joy, color, and confidence
The hearts come in small and big sizes, and multiple colors (next purchase for me: the mini puffy heart in blue to add onto the chain)
And most importantly? It’s versatile enough to wear at least 3 different ways without trying too hard.

The puffy heart necklace even made an appearance for our PS photoshoot!
How I am wearing it
1. The Double Wrap (aka Instant Stack)
Wrap it twice for that layered look. This is my current obsession. It gives dimension, fills the neckline, and feels styled without the mental load of mixing lengths. Layered in with other gold chains, this is where it becomes personal. No two stacks feel the same, and the heart adds just enough personality to ground it all.
2. The Long Line
Worn long and hangs low. This creates a clean vertical line, adding structure and visual interest without competing with the outfit.
3. The Unexpected Back Drop
Clasp in the front. Let the heart hang down your back. A small styling shift that adds interest without distracting. It’s polished, intentional, and still appropriate for meetings, presentations, and everything in between.
Why I keep coming back to Roxanne Assoulin
There’s something about pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously but still show up for big days. Her designs sit right in that sweet spot: joyful, easy, and confidence-building. In this phase of life, where efficiency matters but so does expression, that balance is everything.
